Description

This Turmeric Roasted Cauliflower recipe offers a flavorful and healthy side dish perfect for adding a vibrant touch to any meal. The cauliflower is tossed with avocado oil, liquid aminos, sriracha, garlic powder, turmeric, and sea salt, then roasted until golden and tender, combining earthy turmeric with a subtle spicy kick.

Ingredients

Cauliflower

  • 1 large head cauliflower, chopped into florets

Seasoning & Sauce

  • 3 Tbsp avocado oil
  • 2 Tbsp liquid aminos (or coconut aminos)
  • 2 tsp sriracha (or more to taste)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp ground turmeric (or less, to taste)
  • 1/4 tsp sea salt (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit to ensure it’s hot and ready for roasting the cauliflower to perfection.
  2. Prepare Cauliflower: Chop the cauliflower into florets, removing the hard inner core. Place the florets into a large mixing bowl.
  3. Toss with Seasonings: Add avocado oil, liquid aminos, sriracha, garlic powder, turmeric, and sea salt into the bowl with cauliflower. Use your hands to toss everything together thoroughly, coating the florets evenly with the oil and seasonings.
  4. Arrange on Baking Sheet: Spread the coated cauliflower florets out in a single layer on a baking sheet or casserole dish. This ensures even roasting and caramelization.
  5. Roast: Place the baking sheet on the center rack of the preheated oven and roast for 20 to 25 minutes. Roast until the cauliflower is golden brown and cooked through, stirring once or twice if desired for even cooking.
  6. Serve: Remove from oven and serve alongside your favorite main dishes immediately for a delicious, healthy side.

Notes

  • You can adjust the level of turmeric and sriracha to your taste preferences.
  • Using liquid aminos adds a soy sauce-like umami flavor but you can substitute with tamari or soy sauce if preferred.
  • Ensure the cauliflower is spread out in a single layer to get crispy edges.
  • For an extra kick, drizzle a little more sriracha on the roasted cauliflower before serving.
  • This recipe is naturally gluten-free and vegan.
