Description

This Viral Chicken Alfredo Garlic Bread is a flavorful and indulgent treat that combines tender seasoned chicken, creamy Alfredo sauce, and melty cheeses atop toasted Italian bread. Perfect for a comforting snack or a satisfying meal in just 25 minutes.

Ingredients

Chicken

  • 2 small chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon poultry seasoning (or salt, pepper, garlic powder mix)

Bread and Butter Mixture

  • 1 Italian style loaf, sliced lengthwise in half
  • 1 stick unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
  • 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

Alfredo Sauce

  • 1/2 stick unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup shredded parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley

Additional Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (for cooking chicken)

Instructions

  1. Prepare and Cook Chicken: Cut the chicken breasts into ½ inch pieces and place them in a bowl. Drizzle with 1 tablespoon of olive oil and season with 1 tablespoon of poultry seasoning or a mix of salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Heat a pan over medium heat and cook the chicken pieces until golden and cooked through.
  2. Prepare Garlic Butter for Bread: Slice the Italian loaf lengthwise in half. In a small bowl, combine 1 stick of melted butter, 1 tablespoon of minced garlic, 1 tablespoon of chopped parsley, and 1 teaspoon of crushed red pepper flakes. Spread this garlic butter mixture evenly over both halves of the bread.
  3. Toast the Bread: Place the bread halves in a preheated 350°F (175°C) oven and toast for 5-10 minutes. Check after 5 minutes and continue toasting until the bread reaches your desired crispness and golden color.
  4. Make Alfredo Sauce: In the same pan used to cook the chicken, heat over medium-low heat. Add ½ stick of butter and let it melt. Stir in 1 tablespoon minced garlic and cook for 2-3 minutes until fragrant. Reduce heat to low and add ½ cup heavy cream, ¼ cup shredded parmesan cheese, and 1 tablespoon chopped parsley. Simmer gently while stirring for 3-5 minutes until the sauce slightly thickens. Remove from heat.
  5. Assemble the Bread: Spread half of the Alfredo sauce over the toasted bread halves. Top with the cooked chicken pieces, then evenly sprinkle ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese over the top. Finally, add the remaining Alfredo sauce as a finishing layer.
  6. Bake to Melt Cheese: Return the assembled bread to the oven at 350°F (175°C) and bake for another 5 minutes or until the cheese is fully melted and bubbly.
  7. Serve: Remove from oven and slice the garlic bread into 2-3 inch pieces. Serve warm and enjoy this creamy, cheesy chicken Alfredo garlic bread treat.

Notes

  • You can substitute poultry seasoning with a blend of salt, black pepper, and garlic powder if preferred.
  • Adjust the amount of crushed red pepper flakes based on your heat preference.
  • Use fresh garlic rather than garlic paste for better flavor in the butter and sauce.
  • For extra crispiness, broil the toasted bread for 1-2 minutes but watch carefully to avoid burning.
  • Leftover bread can be refrigerated and reheated in a toaster oven for best texture retention.
