- 4 ounces Blue Candy Melts

- Red White and Blue Star Sprinkles (Optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the pan: Spray a 9X13 inch baking pan with non-stick cooking spray to prevent sticking.
- Melt butter: In a large saucepan over low heat, melt the 6 tablespoons of butter slowly to avoid burning.
- Add marshmallows: Add the marshmallows into the melted butter and stir continuously until the marshmallows are completely melted and the mixture is smooth.
- Mix cereal: Remove the pan from heat. Gradually add the Rice Krispie cereal into the marshmallow mixture, stirring gently until all the cereal is evenly coated.
- Form the base: Spread the coated mixture evenly into the prepared 9X13 pan. Press down firmly with a spatula or wax paper to create a flat, compact surface.
- Cool and cut: Allow the Rice Krispie base to cool completely at room temperature. Once cooled, cut into rectangular pieces.
- Melt candy melts: Place each color of candy melts (red, blue, and white) into three separate microwave-safe bowls. Microwave in 30-second increments, stirring in between until each candy melt is fully melted and smooth.
- Dip treats: Dip one third of the Rice Krispie treats halfway into each color of melted candy. Place the dipped treats onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or wax paper.
- Decorate: Using a fork, drizzle the remaining colors of melted candy over the treats to create a festive pattern or sprinkle the tops with red, white, and blue star sprinkles if desired.
