Cook for 5-8 minutes total, flipping every 2-3 minutes to brown all sides evenly. The internal temperature at this stage should be about 150-155°F (66-68°C), indicating the chicken is browned but not fully cooked.
  4. Finish Cooking with Butter: Reduce heat to low and add the unsalted butter pieces to the skillet. Stir to coat chicken evenly. Continue cooking for 1-3 minutes until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C), ensuring it is cooked through and tender.
