Description

This Dairy-Free Chocolate Ganache is a rich, creamy, and luscious treat made with vegan chocolate and coconut cream, perfect for those seeking a dairy-free alternative. It melts smoothly and can be whipped to a fluffy consistency, ideal for frosting, dipping, or drizzling over desserts.

Ingredients

Ganache Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups vegan chocolate chunks or dark chocolate morsels
  • 1 cup coconut cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Prepare Chocolate: Place the vegan chocolate chunks or dark chocolate morsels into a medium mixing bowl to get them ready for melting.
  2. Heat Coconut Cream: Pour the entire can of coconut cream into a small saucepan and heat it over the stove. Stir occasionally to combine the solid and liquid parts and heat it until it is just about to reach a boil, but do not let it boil.
  3. Combine Ingredients: Pour 1 cup of the hot coconut cream over the chocolate chunks in the bowl. Whisk thoroughly until the chocolate has completely melted and the mixture is very smooth and creamy. Then whisk in the vanilla extract.
  4. Optional Whipping: For a whipped ganache consistency, use an electric mixer on high speed and whisk the mixture for 2 minutes until light and fluffy.
  5. Store: Transfer the ganache into an airtight container and refrigerate. It can be stored for up to 1 week. Keep the leftover coconut cream for other recipes such as creamy soups.

Notes

  • Make sure the coconut cream is well shaken or stirred before heating to combine solids and liquids evenly.
  • Use high-quality vegan chocolate or dark chocolate with a high cocoa content for the best flavor.
  • Ganache can be served warm as a sauce or chilled and whipped for frosting or truffles.
  • Leftover coconut cream can be frozen or reserved for other dairy-free recipes.
  • Adjust sweetness by choosing chocolate with different cocoa percentages; additional sweeteners can be added if desired.
