Description
This easy Crockpot BBQ Meatballs recipe combines frozen meatballs with a tangy and sweet sauce made from spicy BBQ sauce and grape jelly. Slow-cooked to perfection, these meatballs develop a rich, flavorful glaze and make a perfect appetizer or party dish with minimal effort.
Ingredients
Meatballs
- 1 (32 ounce) bag frozen meatballs
Sauce
- 1 (18 ounce) bottle spicy BBQ sauce
- 1 (9 ounce) jar grape jelly
Instructions
- Add Meatballs: Place the frozen meatballs into the crockpot, spreading them out evenly to prepare for cooking.
- Mix Sauce: Pour the spicy BBQ sauce and grape jelly into the crockpot with the meatballs. Stir gently to combine the ingredients until the meatballs are evenly coated with the sauce mixture.
- Cook: Cover the crockpot and cook on high heat for 2 1/2 to 3 hours. Cook until the meatballs are thoroughly heated through and the sauce has thickened slightly, creating a glossy coating over the meatballs.
Notes
- For a milder flavor, use mild BBQ sauce instead of spicy.
- Serve warm as an appetizer or main dish alongside rice, mashed potatoes, or vegetables.
- Leftovers can be refrigerated for up to 3 days and reheated gently in the crockpot or microwave.
- If sauce is too thick, stir in a little water or broth to loosen it when reheating.
- Use a slow cooker liner for easier cleanup.
