Ingredients
Cinnamon Apple Syrup
- 1 large apple, diced
- 1 cup apple juice
- 1 cup dark brown sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 tbsp heavy cream
- 2 tbsp 1% milk
Caramel Cold Foam
- 2 tbsp heavy cream
- 2 tbsp 1% milk
- 1 tbsp caramel sauce
Latte
- 4 oz strong, cold brew coffee or espresso
- 2 tbsp apple cinnamon syrup
- Milk or half and half, to taste (about 4 oz for extra creaminess)
- Extra caramel for drizzling
Instructions
- Make Cinnamon Apple Syrup: Place diced apple, apple juice, dark brown sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla extract in a medium saucepan. Stir to combine over medium heat.
- Simmer Syrup: Once the mixture begins to simmer, reduce heat to medium-low. Continue to simmer until apples are soft and the mixture thickens and reduces, about 30 minutes.
- Mash and Cool: Remove from heat and mash the apples slightly to release more flavor. Let the syrup cool for about 15 minutes, then transfer to a glass storage bottle or jar. Store leftovers in the refrigerator.
- Prepare Caramel Cold Foam: Combine heavy cream, 1% milk, and caramel sauce in a glass or jar. Use an electric frother to froth until foamy and fluffy, about 30 seconds.
- Build the Latte: Fill a large glass about two-thirds full with ice. Pour in 4 oz of strong cold brew coffee.
- Add Syrup and Milk: Stir in 2 tbsp of the prepared apple cinnamon syrup. Add milk or half and half to taste, about 4 oz for a creamy texture.
- Top with Foam and Drizzle: Add a generous dollop of the caramel cold foam on top. Drizzle with extra caramel sauce to finish. Enjoy your refreshing caramel apple iced latte!
Notes
- Use strong cold brew coffee or espresso for best flavor intensity.
- Store leftover apple cinnamon syrup in the refrigerator for up to one week.
- Adjust milk or half and half quantity to your preferred creaminess.
- You can substitute 1% milk with any milk alternative if desired.
- To make the caramel cold foam richer, use more heavy cream and less milk.
