Description

This creamy and tangy Buffalo Chicken Dip is a crowd-pleaser perfect for game days, parties, or snacks. Made with shredded chicken, cream cheese, ranch dressing, buffalo sauce, and cheddar cheese, it’s baked to bubbling perfection and served hot with your favorite dippers like tortilla chips or celery sticks.

Ingredients

Dip Ingredients

  • 2 cups chicken breast (cooked and shredded)
  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • ½ cup Ranch Salad Dressing (bottled)
  • ½ cup Buffalo sauce
  • 1½ cups cheddar cheese (divided; 1 cup plus ½ cup)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350℉ to ensure it’s ready for baking the dip.
  2. Prepare Baking Dish: Spray a 1.2 quart casserole dish with non-stick spray to prevent sticking and make cleanup easier.
  3. Cook and Shred Chicken: Cook the chicken breast thoroughly, then allow it to cool before shredding it into bite-sized pieces.
  4. Combine Ingredients: In a medium mixing bowl, place 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese along with cooked shredded chicken, softened cream cheese, Ranch dressing, and Buffalo sauce.
  5. Mix the Dip: Use a spatula to stir all the ingredients together until they are fully combined and creamy.
  6. Assemble the Dip: Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared casserole dish to create an even layer.
  7. Add Cheese Topping: Sprinkle the remaining ½ cup of cheddar cheese over the top of the dip for a cheesy crust when baked.
  8. Bake: Place the casserole dish in the preheated oven and bake for 25 to 30 minutes until the dip is hot and bubbly and the cheese is melted and slightly golden.
  9. Serve: Remove from oven and let cool slightly. Serve warm with tortilla chips, celery sticks, or crackers for dipping.

Notes

  • For a spicier dip, add extra Buffalo sauce or a dash of cayenne pepper.
  • Use rotisserie chicken to save time on cooking and shredding.
  • Substitute Ranch dressing with Blue Cheese dressing for a different flavor profile.
  • Make ahead: Prepare the dip mixture and refrigerate, then bake right before serving.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheat before serving.
