Description

A refreshing and naturally sweet Blueberry Agua Fresca, perfect for a quick and healthy summer drink. Made with fresh blueberries, water, lemon juice, and honey, this vibrant beverage is easy to prepare and serves as a delightful thirst quencher.

Ingredients

Blueberry Agua Fresca Ingredients

  • 2 cups water
  • 1 pint blueberries, rinsed
  • 1 teaspoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon honey (or 1 teaspoon pure cane sugar)
  • Mint leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Blend the ingredients: Combine 2 cups of water and 1 pint of rinsed blueberries in a blender. Blend until the mixture is smooth and uniform.
  2. Pour over ice: Fill two glasses with ice cubes. Place a fine strainer over each glass and slowly pour the blueberry puree into the strainer to filter out the solids.
  3. Add sweetener: Stir in 1 teaspoon of freshly squeezed lemon juice and 1 tablespoon of honey into the strained blueberry liquid. Taste the drink and adjust sweetness as desired by adding more honey or sugar.
  4. Serve: Garnish each glass with fresh mint leaves and serve immediately for a refreshing treat.

Notes

  • Using fresh, ripe blueberries enhances the natural sweetness and flavor.
  • Adjust the amount of honey or sugar to suit your preferred sweetness level.
  • For a more textured drink, you can skip straining the blend.
  • Serve immediately for best freshness; refrigerate leftovers and consume within 1 day.
