Description

This Baked Goat Cheese Bruschetta Dip is a warm, creamy, and flavorful appetizer that combines soft goat cheese, cream cheese, mozzarella, and Greek yogurt with garlic and tangy tomato bruschetta. Baked until bubbly and topped with balsamic glaze and fresh basil, it pairs perfectly with grilled crostini or pita, making it an irresistible starter for any gathering.

Ingredients

Cheese Mixture

  • 8 oz. goat cheese, softened to room temperature
  • 4 oz. cream cheese, softened to room temperature
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup plain full-fat Greek yogurt
  • 2 grated garlic cloves

Toppings and Garnish

  • 1 cup homemade or jarred tomato bruschetta (DeLallo brand recommended)
  • 1 to 2 Tbsp. balsamic glaze
  • 2 to 3 Tbsp. chopped fresh basil leaves

Serving

  • Grilled crostini or pita for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 400ºF to prepare for baking the dip evenly and thoroughly.
  2. Mix Cheese Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the softened goat cheese, cream cheese, shredded mozzarella, Greek yogurt, and grated garlic cloves. Mix well until the mixture is smooth and evenly blended.
  3. Transfer to Baking Dish: Grease a 1-quart baking dish or ovenproof skillet. Spread the cheese mixture into an even layer inside the dish.
  4. Bake the Dip: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the dip is warmed through and bubbling.
  5. Add Toppings: Remove the dish from the oven and spoon the tomato bruschetta evenly over the top of the baked cheese mixture.
  6. Finish and Garnish: Drizzle the balsamic glaze over the bruschetta layer and sprinkle with the chopped fresh basil leaves for a fresh pop of flavor.
  7. Serve: Serve the warm dip immediately with grilled crostini or pita slices for dipping and enjoying.

Notes

  • Allow the cheeses to soften to room temperature before mixing to ensure a smooth blend.
  • You can use homemade or store-bought bruschetta, but homemade will add a fresher flavor.
  • Balsamic glaze adds sweetness and tang; adjust the amount to your preference.
  • Serve immediately for best flavor and texture; leftovers can be reheated gently.
  • For a vegetarian option, ensure that all cheeses used are free from animal rennet.
