Description

Wingstop Cajun Corn is a bold and flavorful side dish that’s perfect for pairing with your favorite wings or grilling out. The corn is air-fried to golden perfection and tossed in a rich, spiced Cajun butter that brings smoky, savory, and slightly sweet flavors. It’s a crowd-pleaser that’s simple to make and packed with taste.

Ingredients

6 ears of corn, husked and cleaned

Oil spray (olive oil or avocado oil)

6 tbsp butter

1.5 tbsp Cajun seasoning

For the Cajun Seasoning:

1 tbsp paprika

1 tsp salt

2 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

1 tsp chili powder

1 tsp dried parsley

3/4 tsp dried thyme

1/2 tsp dried oregano

1/2 tsp brown sugar

3/4 tsp cayenne pepper (adjust for heat preference)

1/4 tsp cracked black pepper

Instructions

  1. Husk and clean each ear of corn thoroughly. Cut each ear into 3-4 bite-sized pieces (about 1.5 inches each).
  2. Place the corn pieces in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Lightly spray with oil to ensure a crispy texture. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (or follow your model’s instructions) and cook for 5 minutes.
  3. Flip the corn pieces, spritz the underside with oil, and cook for another 5 minutes at 400°F. Continue cooking for an additional 1-2 minutes per side until the corn is golden brown, rotating as needed. Total cook time should be around 13-14 minutes.
  4. While the corn is cooking, melt the butter in a large bowl in the microwave for about 10-15 seconds. Once melted, whisk in the Cajun seasoning until the mixture is smooth and well-combined.
  5. Once the corn is done cooking, transfer it from the air fryer to the bowl with the Cajun butter. Toss the corn in the butter to coat it evenly, using a spoon or basting brush to ensure the seasoning gets into all the nooks and crannies.
  6. Serve the Cajun corn warm, with a side of ranch dressing for dipping, if desired. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Spicy Kick: Adjust the cayenne pepper in the Cajun seasoning to increase or decrease the heat level to your liking.
  • Grilled Corn: If you don’t have an air fryer, grill the corn on a medium-high grill for 10-12 minutes until golden and slightly charred, then toss in the Cajun butter.
  • Vegan Version: Use vegan butter as a substitute for regular butter to make this dish dairy-free.
  • Extra Toppings: Garnish the corn with freshly chopped cilantro, grated Parmesan cheese, or a squeeze of lime for extra flavor.
