Description
A refreshing and vibrant Wild Blueberry Mojito recipe that blends fresh mint, tart lime juice, and sweet wild blueberries with white rum and a splash of lemon-lime soda. Perfect for a quick, fruity cocktail enjoyed anytime.
Ingredients
Wild Blueberry Mojito Ingredients
- ¼ cup wild blueberries (fresh or frozen)
- 10 fresh mint leaves and sprigs (for garnish)
- 2 tablespoons simple syrup
- 2 ounces white rum
- 2 tablespoons lime juice
- 10 cubes ice
- 4 slices lime for garnish
- Lemon-lime soda to top off the drink
Instructions
- Muddle Ingredients: Place the mint leaves, lime juice, simple syrup, white rum, and wild blueberries into a glass or cocktail shaker. Gently muddle the ingredients to release the oils from the mint and juices from the blueberries, blending the flavors thoroughly.
- Prepare Glasses: Divide the muddled mixture between two glasses. Fill each glass with ice cubes to chill the drink perfectly.
- Garnish and Finish: Add extra blueberries, mint sprigs, and lime slices to each glass. Top off each drink with a splash of lemon-lime soda to add a refreshing fizzy finish.
Notes
- This recipe makes two tall mojitos but can be served in four smaller glasses; increasing the rum is recommended for stronger servings.
- Using fresh wild blueberries will give the best flavor, but frozen berries work well too.
- Adjust the amount of simple syrup according to your preferred sweetness level.
- For a non-alcoholic version, omit the rum and increase lemon-lime soda for a delicious mocktail.
