A decadent fusion of classic tiramisu and creamy latte—featuring rich espresso, mascarpone cream, and cocoa—perfect for a special homemade coffee treat.
Ingredients
60 mL (2 oz) double espresso shot or espresso powder alternative
1 Tbsp (5 g) unsweetened cocoa powder
1 cup (240 mL) milk
1 tsp raw sugar (adjust to taste)
½ tsp vanilla extract
1 Tbsp (28 g) mascarpone cheese, room temperature
2 Tbsp (30 mL) heavy whipping cream, cold
2 tsp powdered sugar
Cocoa powder, for dusting
Instructions
- Brew a double espresso or dissolve 2 tsp espresso powder in 2 Tbsp hot water. Stir in 1 Tbsp cocoa powder until dissolved.
- Froth milk with sugar and vanilla until hot and foamy. Pour over the espresso mixture.
- In a jar, combine mascarpone, cold cream, and powdered sugar. Shake vigorously until soft peaks form.
- Spoon mascarpone cream over the latte. Dust with cocoa powder and serve.
- For iced: dissolve espresso, sugar, and cocoa in hot water. Add ice, pour in cold milk, top with mascarpone cream, and dust with cocoa.
Notes
- Use plant-based milk and vegan mascarpone for a vegan option.
- Adjust sweetness to preference.
- Spice it up with a pinch of cinnamon or nutmeg.
