Instructions
- Prepare the oranges: Wash the oranges thoroughly. Cut each orange in half crosswise. Place the orange halves cut side down on the cutting board and slice off the peel in a circular motion around the fruit. Remove skin from all halves, including the white pith, as the juice will be strained later.
- Prep carrots and ginger: Cut the carrots and ginger into small cubes to make blending easier and ensure a smooth consistency.
- Combine ingredients in blender: Place the prepared oranges, carrots, and ginger into a high-powered blender. Squeeze in the juice of one lemon, then add turmeric, sea salt, and black pepper. Pour in the 2 cups of water to facilitate blending.
- Blend the juice: Start blending on low speed, gradually increasing to medium-high. Continue blending for about 3 minutes or until the mixture is completely smooth and well combined.
- Strain the juice: Pour the blended mixture through a fine mesh sieve or nut milk bag into a glass bowl to remove any pulp and solids, resulting in a smooth juice.
- Store the juice: Transfer the strained juice into a glass jar and refrigerate. The juice can be stored in the fridge for up to one week and may thicken naturally; shake well before serving.
