Description

A creamy, smoky chipotle sauce inspired by Taco Bell, made with mayonnaise, sour cream, chipotle peppers, and spices. Ideal for tacos, fries, grilled meats, and more, it’s quick to make and packed with bold flavor.


Ingredients

1/3 cup mayonnaise

1/3 cup sour cream

12 chipotle peppers in adobo sauce (adjust to taste)

1 tablespoon adobo sauce (from the chipotle pepper can)

1 garlic clove

1 tablespoon lime juice

1/2 teaspoon paprika (smoked for extra smokiness)

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon salt (adjust to preference)

1/4 teaspoon black pepper (adjust to preference)


Instructions

  1. Remove seeds and membranes from chipotle peppers for a milder sauce, or leave them in for more heat.
  2. Combine chipotle peppers, adobo sauce, garlic, lime juice, paprika, onion powder, mayonnaise, sour cream, salt, and pepper in a blender or food processor.
  3. Blend until smooth and creamy. Taste and adjust seasoning or spice level as desired.
  4. Transfer to a container or squeeze bottle and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow flavors to develop.
