Supreme Pizza Braid is a savory, crowd-pleasing dish featuring a buttery braided crust filled with Italian sausage, pepperoni, veggies, mozzarella, and pizza sauce. It’s perfect for gatherings, pizza night, or game-day snacking.
Ingredients
1 family-size pizza crust (e.g., Jus-Rol™)
8 oz ground Italian sausage
3 oz pepperoni slices
½ cup pizza sauce
¼ cup green bell pepper, diced
¼ cup black olives, sliced
¼ cup red onion, diced
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
½ cup unsalted butter
1 Tbsp garlic, minced
1 Tbsp fresh parsley, minced
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375 °F (190 °C).
- Cook sausage in a skillet until browned and fully cooked. Set aside.
- Unroll pizza crust vertically on baking paper.
- Divide the dough into thirds; cut 1-inch horizontal strips on the left and right thirds, leaving the center third intact.
- Layer center with pepperoni, sausage, bell pepper, olives, onion, pizza sauce, and mozzarella.
- Fold over strips, alternating sides to form a braid over the filling.
- Microwave butter, garlic, and parsley for 15 seconds. Brush over the braid.
- Transfer braid (on baking paper) to a baking sheet and bake for 25 minutes or until golden.
- Cool slightly, slice, and serve warm.
