These Stuffed Baked Jumbo Shrimp feature butterflied shrimp filled with a savory stuffing made from mayonnaise, chicken mix, and warming spices, then baked to golden perfection—elegant and delicious for any occasion.
Ingredients
1 lb raw jumbo shrimp (peeled & deveined, tails intact)
2 heaping Tbsp mayonnaise
2 cups chicken stuffing mix
1 egg
1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
¼ tsp Old Bay seasoning
⅛ tsp garlic powder
1 cup water
3 Tbsp butter, melted
Salt, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a bowl, mix stuffing mix, mayonnaise, egg, Worcestershire, Old Bay, garlic powder, and water. Let sit briefly to thicken.
- Butterfly shrimp by making a shallow incision along the inner curve. Remove vein if needed and lightly salt.
- Fill each shrimp with a heaping teaspoon of stuffing. Gently press into the opening.
- Arrange shrimp in a greased baking dish or skillet. Drizzle melted butter over the top.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes until shrimp are opaque and stuffing is golden.
Notes
- Add cheese to stuffing for extra richness.
- Spice it up with jalapeño or cayenne.
- Stuffing can be made ahead and refrigerated.
- Serve with salad, roasted vegetables, or rice.
- Reheat in oven, not microwave, to avoid rubbery shrimp.
