Description

Smash Burger Tacos combine the crispy, savory goodness of a smash burger with the handheld fun of tacos. With a creamy Big Mac-inspired sauce, seasoned beef, and fresh toppings, these tacos offer a delicious fusion of two favorite comfort foods. Perfect for taco night or a fun weeknight dinner!

Ingredients

For the Burger (Big Mac) Sauce:

1 cup mayonnaise

4 tbsp pickle relish

2 tbsp Dijon mustard

1 tsp sugar

½ tbsp white vinegar

1¼ tsp paprika

1 tsp onion powder

1 tsp garlic powder

Taco Assembly:

4 × 6-inch flour tortillas

1 lb lean ground beef

Salt & pepper, to taste

1 tbsp neutral oil (vegetable, canola, or avocado)

4 slices American cheese (or cheese of your choice)

1 small onion, diced

Dill pickle chips

Shredded iceberg lettuce

Instructions

  • Make the Burger Sauce: In a bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, pickle relish, Dijon mustard, sugar, white vinegar, paprika, onion powder, and garlic powder. Set aside.

  • Form the Taco “Burgers”: Divide the ground beef into four portions. Spread each portion of beef into a thin, even layer on a tortilla. Season with salt and pepper.

  • Cook the Tacos: Heat oil in a skillet or griddle over medium-high heat. Place the beef-side-down tortillas and press them with a spatula to thin them. Cook for 2-3 minutes until a crispy crust forms. Flip the tortillas and place a slice of cheese on the beef. Cook for another 1-3 minutes, until the tortilla is crispy.

  • Assemble & Serve: Transfer tacos to a plate. Top with shredded lettuce, diced onions, pickle chips, and a generous drizzle of Big Mac sauce. Serve immediately.

Notes

Cheese Options: Experiment with different cheeses such as cheddar, Swiss, or pepper jack.

Spicy Option: Add jalapeños or drizzle with hot sauce for extra heat.

Vegetarian Version: Replace beef with plant-based burger patties or veggie protein.
