Description
These Peach Pie Cruffins are delightful hybrid pastries—flaky, spiral-shaped cruffins filled with sweet, cinnamon-spiced peach preserves and topped with a creamy glaze. Perfect for brunch, coffee breaks, or dessert.
Ingredients
3 cans (8 oz each) refrigerated crescent dough
1 cup peach preserves
1 tsp ground cinnamon
½ cup powdered sugar
3 Tbsp heavy whipping cream
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a muffin tin with paper liners.
- In a bowl, stir together peach preserves and cinnamon until well mixed.
- Unroll crescent dough and press seams to form rectangles. Spread peach mixture evenly over each.
- Roll each rectangle lengthwise into a log. Slice each log in half lengthwise, twist into spirals, and place into muffin cups.
- Bake for 18–20 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
- While baking, whisk powdered sugar and cream until smooth to make glaze. Adjust consistency as desired.
- Let cruffins cool slightly, then drizzle with glaze. Serve warm and enjoy.
Notes
- Swap preserves: Use apricot, berry, or apple preserves for variety.
- Spice it up with nutmeg or cardamom in the filling.
- Add chopped nuts like pecans or almonds for crunch.
- Include citrus zest in the glaze for extra brightness.
- Make vegan by using plant-based butter and milk for the glaze.
