Description

This Ninja Creami frozen yogurt recipe combines creamy Greek yogurt with vanilla protein powder and a hint of honey for a delicious, protein-packed dessert. It’s an easy, healthier alternative to traditional frozen yogurt, with customizable toppings and the perfect balance of tangy and sweet.

Ingredients

1 1/2 cups plain Greek yogurt

1 scoop vanilla protein powder (30g)

1 tbsp honey

1 tbsp sugar-free vanilla instant Jello pudding mix

1/2 tsp vanilla extract

1/2 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Combine ingredients: In the Ninja Creami pint container, mix the Greek yogurt, vanilla protein powder, honey, vanilla pudding mix, vanilla extract, and salt. Stir until fully combined and smooth, making sure the mixture does not exceed the max fill line.
  2. Freeze: Freeze the mixture for at least 24 hours to ensure it’s fully frozen and ready for churning.
  3. Run under hot water: After 24 hours, remove the frozen pint from the freezer and run it under hot water for 60-90 seconds to loosen the contents.
  4. Spin in the Ninja Creami: Insert the pint into the Ninja Creami machine and press the ‘Lite Ice Cream’ or ‘Frozen Yogurt’ button for the first spin.
  5. Check the texture: If the texture is still a bit powdery, place the pint back in the freezer and re-spin using the ‘Re-Spin’ button until it reaches your desired creamy texture.
  6. Add toppings: Once the frozen yogurt is creamy and smooth, create a hole in the center and add your favorite toppings (like fruit, nuts, or chocolate chips). Spin again using the ‘Mix-Ins’ setting.
  7. Serve and enjoy: Scoop, serve, and enjoy your homemade frozen yogurt with your delicious toppings!

Notes

Flavor variations: Add flavor extracts like almond or coconut, or swirl in fruit puree before spinning for a fruity frozen yogurt twist.

Sweeteners: Replace honey with agave syrup, maple syrup, or a low-carb sweetener like stevia or erythritol for a different sweetness.

Add-ins: Mix in mini chocolate chips, granola, or fresh berries for a more indulgent or crunchy texture.

Dairy-free version: Use dairy-free yogurt and plant-based protein powder to make this recipe suitable for those avoiding dairy.
