Description
A fragrant Earl Grey tea enriched with sweet, cherry-infused milk—combining the floral bergamot of the tea with fruity cherry notes and creamy vanilla, served hot or iced for a delightful twist on classic milk tea.
Ingredients
For the Cherry-Infused Milk:
4–5 fresh cherries, pitted and halved
½ cup water
½ cup milk (dairy or plant-based)
1–2 teaspoons vanilla syrup (adjust to taste)
1 cinnamon stick (optional)
For the Earl Grey Tea:
1 Earl Grey tea bag or 1 teaspoon loose-leaf Earl Grey
1 cup boiling water
Ice cubes (if making iced version)
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, simmer cherries and water for about 5 minutes until soft. Mash lightly to release flavor.
- Add milk, vanilla syrup, and cinnamon stick (if using) and warm gently without boiling. Strain if a smooth texture is desired.
- Steep Earl Grey tea in boiling water for 3–5 minutes. Remove tea bag or strain leaves.
- Combine warm cherry-infused milk with brewed tea. Stir gently to blend.
- Serve hot in a warmed cup or let cool and pour over ice for a chilled version. Garnish with cherries or cinnamon stick if desired.
Notes
- Use frozen cherries if fresh are unavailable—thaw before using.
- Customize sweetness with more or less syrup or a sugar substitute.
- Can be served hot or iced based on preference.
- Optional cinnamon stick adds warming spice—skip if preferred.
