Description

A refreshing iced latte featuring chilled black tea paired with blackberry and sage-infused milk, lightly sweetened for a uniquely herbal and fruity experience—perfect for warmer days with a creative twist.

Ingredients

2 cups strong brewed black tea, chilled

½ cup blackberries (fresh or frozen)

¼ cup sage leaves (about 68 leaves)

½ cup milk (dairy or plant-based)

2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup (adjust to taste)

Ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Brew black tea using two tea bags or loose-leaf tea. Let it chill in the refrigerator for 15–20 minutes until cold.
  2. In a small saucepan, combine blackberries, sage leaves, milk, and sweetener. Heat gently over low to medium heat for 3–4 minutes without boiling.
  3. Strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve, pressing the solids to extract flavor. Cool and refrigerate until chilled.
  4. Fill glasses with ice. Pour in the chilled tea, then top with the infused milk.
  5. Stir lightly and serve immediately. Optionally garnish with sage leaves or whole blackberries.

Notes

  • Use oat milk for added creaminess.
  • Don’t boil the milk infusion to avoid bitterness.
  • Prep both components ahead and assemble before serving.
  • Adjust sage and sweetener to taste preferences.
