Ingredients
Olive oil cooking spray
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, fat trimmed off
2 cloves garlic, minced
Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
½ teaspoon garlic powder (or to taste)
½ teaspoon dried oregano (or to taste)
½ teaspoon Italian seasoning (or to taste)
1 tablespoon butter, cut into 4 pats
Parchment paper
Instructions

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.

Pat dry the chicken breasts with paper towels. Place them in the prepared baking dish. Rub each chicken breast with minced garlic.

Season both sides of the chicken breasts with salt, freshly ground black pepper, garlic powder, oregano, and Italian seasoning. Place a pat of butter on each chicken breast.

Cover the chicken with parchment paper, tucking the edges to ensure it’s snug.

Bake in the preheated oven for 30 to 33 minutes, until the internal temperature reaches 162°F to 165°F.

Remove from the oven and let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
You can substitute parchment paper with aluminum foil if necessary.
For a cheesy twist, top the chicken with shredded cheese in the last 5 minutes of baking.
Add lemon slices or squeeze fresh lemon juice over the chicken before baking for a zesty flavor.
