Description

A creamy, zesty, and flavorful avocado lime crema that is the perfect accompaniment for tacos, grilled vegetables, or as a dip for chips. With the richness of avocado, the tanginess of lime, and the aromatic touch of cilantro and garlic, this crema brings a burst of freshness to your meal.

Ingredients

½ cup yogurt (dairy-free)

2 avocados

1 lime, juiced

A pinch of salt, to taste

¼ cup fresh cilantro (more if desired)

1 teaspoon garlic oil (Costabile Organic)

3 garlic cloves

Avocado oil (optional, for adjusting thickness)

Instructions

  1. Start by slicing the avocados in half lengthwise and carefully remove the pit.
  2. Scoop the avocado flesh into a food processor or blender.
  3. Add the lime juice, garlic, cilantro, garlic oil, salt, and yogurt to the processor.
  4. Blend everything together until smooth and well-combined.
  5. If the crema turns out too thick, gradually add 1 teaspoon of avocado oil at a time until you reach your desired consistency.
  6. Transfer the avocado cilantro lime crema to a serving bowl.
  7. You can serve it immediately or refrigerate it until ready to use.

Notes

  • Spicy Avocado Lime Crema: Add a jalapeño or a pinch of cayenne pepper to give the crema a spicy kick.
  • Cumin Infusion: Try adding a pinch of cumin to give the crema a warm, earthy flavor.
  • Dairy-Free Version: Use a dairy-free yogurt or a cashew cream to keep it fully plant-based.
  • Herb Variations: If cilantro isn’t your favorite, try swapping it for parsley or basil for a different twist.
