Ingredients
For the Salmon Bites
- 10 ounces salmon, skin removed and cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1 tablespoon coconut aminos
- 1 tablespoon sriracha
- 2 teaspoons honey
- 1 teaspoon rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- Salt and pepper, to taste
For Topping
- Green onions, sliced
- Sesame seeds
For Serving
- Sriracha mayo
- White rice
- Steamed or sautéed veggies
- Avocado slices
Instructions
- Mix the Marinade: In a medium-large bowl, combine the coconut aminos, sriracha, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, minced garlic, ground ginger, salt, and pepper. Stir thoroughly to blend all the flavors together. Adjust seasoning to your taste.
- Marinate Salmon: Add the salmon cubes to the marinade and mix well, making sure each piece is evenly coated. Cover and let the salmon marinate for at least 15 minutes to enhance the flavor.
- Air Fry the Salmon: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F. Arrange the marinated salmon pieces in a single layer in the air fryer basket, leaving space between each piece to allow air circulation. Optionally, drizzle any remaining marinade over the salmon. Air fry for 7 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and lightly crispy on the edges.
- Serve and Garnish: Remove the salmon bites carefully from the air fryer. Top with sliced green onions and sesame seeds. Serve immediately with your choice of sides such as sriracha mayo, white rice, veggies, and avocado slices for a complete meal.
Notes
- For best results, do not overcrowd the air fryer basket to ensure even cooking.
- You can adjust the level of sweetness or spice in the marinade according to your preference.
- Use fresh salmon for the best texture and flavor.
- Leftover salmon bites make a great addition to salads or grain bowls.
- Ensure the salmon is cooked to an internal temperature of 145°F for safety.
