Description
Air Fryer Chocolate Chip Cookie Brownies are the perfect combination of fudgy brownies and gooey chocolate chip cookie dough, all made conveniently in an air fryer. This recipe yields a deliciously rich dessert with layers of chocolatey goodness and a crisp-top cookie texture.
Ingredients
Cookie Dough
- 1 stick unsalted butter, room temperature
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup mini chocolate chips
Brownie Layer
- 1 package brownie mix (any kind) and ingredients required to prepare according to the box instructions
- Cooking spray, for greasing the pan
Instructions
- Prepare Cookie Dough: In a mixing bowl, cream together the unsalted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add the egg and vanilla extract, and mix until fully incorporated. Gradually add the flour, baking soda, and salt, mixing well after each addition. Fold in the mini chocolate chips gently to distribute evenly. Cover the cookie dough and refrigerate until ready to use.
- Prepare Brownie Batter: Follow the instructions on your chosen brownie mix box to make the brownie batter. Once prepared, grease an air fryer-safe pan with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
- Assemble: Pour the brownie batter evenly into the prepared pan. Next, break off spoonfuls of the chilled cookie dough and sprinkle it evenly over the surface of the brownie batter.
- Air Fry: Place the pan in your air fryer. Set the temperature to 320°F (160°C) on the air fryer setting. Cook for 20 to 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the brownies comes out clean, indicating they are fully cooked.
- Cool and Serve: Remove the pan from the air fryer and allow the brownies to cool slightly to set. Once cooled, slice into servings, plate, and enjoy the delicious blend of brownie and cookie flavors.
Notes
- Be sure to use an air fryer-safe pan that fits comfortably inside your air fryer basket.
- Check the brownies early around 20 minutes to avoid overcooking, as air fryer models may vary.
- Refrigerating the cookie dough helps keep it from melting into the brownie batter during cooking.
- You can substitute mini chocolate chips with regular chocolate chips if preferred.
- Letting the brownies cool before slicing ensures cleaner cuts and better texture.
