Description
If you’re looking for a delicious and healthy snack that’s easy to make, Air Fryer Banana Chips are the perfect choice. They’re crispy, naturally sweet, and packed with nutrients. With just a few simple ingredients and an air fryer, you can enjoy a homemade, guilt-free treat in no time.
Ingredients
2 medium ripe bananas
1 teaspoon coconut oil or avocado oil (optional)
1/4 teaspoon sea salt (optional)
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
1/2 teaspoon lemon juice (optional)
Instructions
- Peel the bananas and slice them into thin, even rounds, about 1/8 inch thick. The thinner the slices, the crispier the chips will be.
- Place the banana slices in a bowl and toss gently with coconut oil, sea salt, cinnamon, or lemon juice, if using. The oil will help the chips crisp up, while the spices and lemon juice can enhance the flavor and prevent browning.
- Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for 3 minutes.
- Place the banana slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket or tray, avoiding overcrowding.
- Air fry the banana slices for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway through. Check around 8 minutes to avoid overcooking.
- Once the chips are crispy and golden, remove them from the air fryer and place them on a wire rack to cool completely.
- Store the cooled banana chips in an airtight container to keep them fresh.
